Minimum Essential Coverage

Beginning October 1, 2025, employees on fixed-term assignments working 30 hours or more will be eligible to enroll in a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan through Navia. This plan will remain in effect through December 31, 2025.

Your Open Enrollment Period is September 15, 2025 - Sept 22, 2025. You can enroll or decline coverage in PlanSource.

Fixed-term assignment employees hired after October 1, 2025, must enroll within 30 days from their date of hire and will be eligible date of hire.

The Navia Open Access plan offers Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) by providing preventive services mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). These services are covered at 100%, ensuring no payments like copayments or coinsurance, and they do not contribute to deductibles for the employee. For a detailed list of preventive care services, please refer to the Navia MEC Benefits, which outlines Preventive Health Services for both Adults and Children.

Common services covered under MEC plans include:

  • Cancer screenings
  • Immunization vaccines for adults and children (varying doses, ages, and recommended populations)
  • HIV testing
  • Diabetes screenings
  • Child wellness screenings
  • Domestic violence counseling
  • Contraceptive methods
  • Well-woman visits
  • Obesity counseling

Please note that these benefits apply exclusively when services are performed by a network provider. Services from non-participating providers may result in additional charges beyond the allowed amount. To verify if your provider is in-network, please visit https://member.valenzhealth.com/home.
